Bergamot and lemon open it so brightly that the leather takes a few minutes to show up. When it does, it is soft and clean rather than smoky — leather as a texture, not a barbecue.
Bamboo keeps the middle green and airy, and patchouli with papyrus dries it out at the end. Every customer who has smelled a certain very expensive fruity-smoky perfume recognises the family it belongs to.
